| Q: | Are St Clements Caves real Caves? |
| A: | Yes, they have been formed over many centuries with a little help from Joseph Golding in the 1820s |
| Q: | Is Smugglers Adventure a bit scary for children? |
| A: | The Caves can sometimes be a bit scary (and not just for children!). Dont worry, if anyone is scared, we will refund your admission charge! |
| Q: | Is it cold in the Caves? |
| A: | No, the Caves are sandstone, a good heat insulator. You will feel warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer, with the temperature a constant 530F. |
| Q: | How long does it take to visit the Caves? |
| A: | Usually at least an hour. |
| Q: | Is there parking nearby? |
| A: | Some, but watch out a lot of the parking is residents permit only. We advise you to park on the seafront and either walk up, or take the West Hill Cliff Railway. |
| Q: | Are there any steps? If so how many? |
| A: | There are a lot of steps down into the Caves, making wheelchair access very difficult. |
| Q: | Can we bring pushchairs in? |
| A: | Our Fire Regulations do not allow pushchairs in the Caves but we have baby sling on loan at the Admissions Desk. |
